If you want to forget something or someone, never hate it, or never hate him/her. Everything and everyone that you hate is engraved upon your heart; if you want to let go of something, if you want to forget, you cannot hate.C. JoyBell C. (via kushandwizdom)

I think a post-Obama America is an America in post-traumatic depression. Because the levels of disillusionment are so deep.
the disenchanting of Black folks is traumatizing. White democrats really set us up, thinking that we had this Black hope, and we were a bunch of Black dopes.
Only because we had forgotten history, we had ignored how white people have often set up Black faces in white spaces to continue business as usual, we called it neocolonialism.
All I know is that I’ve gotten so used to Obama being President that I forgot that he won’t be there forever. & I’m lowkey scared about who our next president will be and how that’ll work out. Because Obama becoming President was such a big thing for African Americans, I’m just like “So, how do we move on from here?.. Who will we next seek hope in?”(via voguememoirs)
